A motorist struck a garbage truck while attempting to pass on Melrose Street near Lewis Street, peeling back the roof of his 1980 Chevrolet Chevette. No injuries reported.
A 21-year-old woman reported her cellphone was stolen during a fight outside the La Ramada restaurant.
Walla Walla County
Deputies issued a citation to a 27-year-old man for violating Walla Walla County’s noise ordinance for playing music too loudly at a residence on Detour Road.
A concerned citizen reported an intoxicated person was walking near Walmart without any pants on.
The owner’s of a rental property on Bo Avenue reported the former tenants removed cabinetry and light fixtures from the home. Deputies learned the tenants had bought and installed the items at their own expense, but had not made an agreement with the property owners that would allow them to remove the cabinets and lights. Walla Walla County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office officials said the landlords would have to pursue the dispute in civil court.
A Weston-area woman reported her canoe was stolen while at Jubilee Lake.
