Nobody is alone in Milton-Freewater

Wow, the Milton-Freewater Chamber of Commerce really put on a fabulous awards banquet. The table decorations from the various merchants made our community building a beautiful setting, with the theme of “Old Hollywood Movies.”

There are so many churches, organizations and clubs in our town with which one can get involved. What a joy of belonging and helping our community by sharing feelings and making a better Milton-Freewater and oneself.

Growing up here you don’t meet a stranger, our community comes by the hundreds with love and help for the hurting and needy. You never have to be alone in Milton-Freewater as there is a place for you.

I am so fortunate that my ancestors came to Umatilla County at the base of the beautiful Blues in the 1870s. Today fruit and produce and colorful vineyards are at our doorstep.

I am so appreciative of wonderful community, friends and family for the honor of being awarded the Milton-Freewater Chamber of Commerce “Golden Pioneer of 2012.”
