Today Everyone is Irish

Dancers, musicians and corned beef and cabbage will be featured on St. Patrick’s Day.

Laht Neppur Ale House, 53 S. Spokane St., started Friday with about 80 people who turned out to hear the Blarney Cats and watch Elizabeth Fleming’s Irish dance class.

Ale house owner Court Ruppenthal had a full menu of corned beef and cabbage, shepherd’s pie and Scottish ale.

But pizza and Peach Hefeweizen were the most popular. Laht Neppur will have another celebration today from 3-8 p.m.

The Olive, 21 E. Main St., will serve Irish-roasted lamb, shepherd’s pie, braised beef brisket, cabbage stew, Irish soda bread and Guinness cake. The Blarney Cats will perform from 5-8 p.m.

The Red Monkey, 25 W. Alder St., will feature Irish food and the infamous Irish car bomb drink. The Rogues will play live Irish music from 2-6 p.m., accompanied by Fleming’s Irish dance class.
