Mac-Hi sweeps split Pendleton squad

PENDLETON — The McLoughlin High School baseball team swept a split-squad Pendleton team here Saturday, 10-6 and 9-5.

“I was happy with the outcome,” Mac-Hi coach Mike Garcia said. “The kids did a good job of getting timely hits overall and were patient at the plate.”

The Pioneers had 20 hits total in the two games to go with 21 walks.

Chase Copenhaver led Mac-Hi with six hits in the two games.

“Through four game we’ve done a good job of limiting our errors too and I’ve been satisfied with how we’ve been playing overall,” Garcia said.

Mac-Hi (3-1) plays Monday at home against Union at 4 p.m. in a twin bill.
