If you follow commercial real estate property sales, or even if you’ve driven along Myra Road recently, you’ve probably noticed the “sold” signs at Whitman Drive.
The property behind Home Depot has reportedly been sold, but what the plans are for it is not yet clear.
College Place City Administrator Pat Reay told the U-B the buyer is a Washington limited liability company that goes by the name ELDA WA CP. The company acquired the property from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., which had possession since 2011 through closure of the failed Bank of Whitman.
Reay said the city has yet to receive word of plans for the property, but hopes it may be retail-related. The land is prime commercial and has State Environmental Policy Act approval.
