Walla Walla

Single-vehicle accident with injuries was reported when Ronda Edwards, 43, of Walla Walla fell off her motorcycle at Ninth Avenue and Main Street because the vehicle stopped abruptly. Edwards was transported by private party to Providence St. Mary Medical Center.

Two-vehicle, side-impact collision with no injuries was reported at the intersection of East Main and Park streets Thursday 4:16 p.m.

A bike was stolen from the 100 block of North Spokane Street Wednesday around 1 p.m.

A resident of the 200 block of West Chestnut Street reported her vehicle was enter Wednesday overnight and rummaged through, with no items taken.

A resident of the 1700 block of Fairway Drive reported a laptop computer taken from her resident within the last week.

Two vehicle, non-injury accident occurred at East Alder near South Clinton streets when a resident backed his vehicle out of the driveway into traffic.

Possible attempted burglary reported by resident of the 400 block of Washington Street, who on Thursday found a trash can moved under the exterior bathroom window and that the screen had been removed.

Walla Walla County

Fire District 5 out of Burbank was called to a fire in the Boise paper mill tree farm off Highway 124 at around noon Saturday. Three of the 400-foot-long slash piles that were to be burned at a later date caught fire and spread to a field, destroying two acres, three power poles and cutting off power to the area briefly. District Fire Chief Mike Wickstrom said the fire probably started when high winds blew up embers from another slash pile burn from earlier in the week. Walla Walla County Fire District 3 and Franklin County Fire District 3 assisted. No injuries or other damage was reported.
