WALLA WALLA — The proposed cutting down of six of about 50 old sycamore trees that line Rose Street will be the main topic at a special meeting of the City’s Parks, Recreation & Urban Forest Advisory Board.
On Friday at 4 p.m., the board will discuss the potential removal of the trees to help improve visibility for motorists at intersections.
City officials said the trees are healthy and that their roots are not causing excessive damage to sidewalks, gutters or streets.
The meeting will be in the conference room of the City Service Center, 55 Moore St.
