CRIMINAL CASES

Jacob R. Harding, 31, 3289 Peppers Bridge Road, was sentenced May 6 on one count driving under the influence. The court dismissed two other counts. The sentence included restitution to be determined, $200 in court costs, $48.20 in sheriff fees, $250 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $100 crime lab and biological fee, 364 days in the county jail with 363 days suspended, credit for one day served.  On April 22 Harding pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor, marijuana or any intoxicating drug on or about Jan. 27.

Christopher M. Crump, 19, 212 N. Roosevelt St., No. 17, was sentenced May 6 on one count violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act. The sentence included $200 in court costs, $88 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $1,000 violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act fee, $500 drug enforcement fund, $100 crime lab and biological fee, 30 days in the county jail, credit for four days served, 26 days converted to Department of Corrections work crew, 12 months community custody.  On Feb. 4 Crump pleaded guilty to unlawfully possessing more than 40 grams marijuana on or about Oct. 20.

Michael L. Dayton, 30, 150 S. Wilbur Ave., Apt. 47, was charged May 8 with third-degree rape of a child. Dayton is accused of engaging in sexual intercourse with a girl who was 14 or 15 years old between May 1, 2011, and July 17, 2011.

William L. Richardson, 55, 814 Figueroa St., was sentenced May 6 on one count each violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act and harassment. The court dismissed three other counts. The sentence included $200 in court costs, $62 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $1,000 violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act fee, $500 drug enforcement fund, $100 crime lab and biological fee, 32 months in the custody of the Department of Corrections, credit for 42 days served, 32 months community custody.  On April 25 Richardson pleaded guilty by plea as he agreed the court may review police reports or the statement of probable cause to establish factual basis for the plea.

Paul A. Lightner, 29, 122 N. Wilbur Ave., was sentenced May 6  on one count possession of a stolen vehicle. The court dismissed two other counts. The sentence included restitution to be determined, $200 in court costs, $62 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $100 biological fee, 24 months community custody, credit for 47 days served.  On April 6 Lightner pleaded guilty to unlawfully driving and possessing a motor vehicle, knowing it was stolen, on March 20.

Paul A. Lightner, 29, 122 N. Wilbur Ave., was sentenced May 6 on one count each violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act and bail jumping. The sentence included $200 in court costs, $122.80 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $100 biological fee, 24 months community custody, credit for 50 days served.  On April 6 Lightner pleaded guilty to unlawfully possessing methamphetamine on Feb. 29 after being released on a possession of methamphetamine charge and to failing to show up for arraignment he knew he was required to do so.
