WALLA WALLA — Whitman College students are planning a protest against racism and cyberbullying today in front of the College’s administration building.

Whitman student Kate Kight said the protesters will ask the school administration to take a more aggressive stance against cyberbullying after a fellow student received significant negative attention on Facebook and on the anonymous website whitmanencounters.com following a plea to keep Halloween costumes respectful of other cultures.

Organizers expect around 50 students to show up for the protest, which is being staged from 12:50-2:45 p.m.
