Wild Walla Walla Wine Woman to hold cider tasting Wednesday

The Wild Walla Walla Wine Woman is welcoming autumn with a cider tasting event.

Catie McIntyre Walker, owner of the retail wine shop at 19 N. Second Ave., will host Tieton Cider Works during a two-hour tasting Wednesday.

The Tieton, Wash., company is reinterpreting traditional cider-making, by using various styles from apples, cherries, apricots and even hops, according to the announcement. The fruit comes from Craig and Sharon Campbellā€™s Harmony Orchards.

At least four different ciders will be available for tasting Wednesday during the 5 p.m. event. The cost is $5 per person, and attendees will get a 10 percent discount on Tieton ciders.
