Walla Walla

Police arrested Lacey Hender, 26, on investigation of first-degree assault at Shopko. Police provided no additional information.

Two vehicle, rollover collision on Third Avenue and Tietan Street. Medics transported a 32-year-old woman to Providence St. Mary Medical Center. Police provided no additional information.

Vehicle on fire near Catherine and Whitman streets. Police provided no additional information.

“Oops” painted on the north steps at Galbraith Gardens.

Rear-end collision on Highway 125 and Plaza Way: no injuries reported.

Walla Walla County

A newspaper delivery driver scared off two vehicle prowlers in the 3000 block of Brisbane Drive.

Loose dogs reportedly pulled a woman’s pants down on Ray Road. The woman complained the neighbor’s dogs are an ongoing problem.

Vehicle egged, tires slashed in the 200 block of Third Street, Touchet.

Roughly $60 in fuel stolen from farm vehicles in the 1000 block of Last Chance Road.

A deputy found a wallet containing $405 after a Lapwai, Idaho, man reported it missing after he stopped while traveling through Walla Walla County.

Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 49-year-old man for making death threats after he reportedly had physical altercation with his parents. According to reports, the man grabbed his 78-year-old father and threatend to push him down the basement stairs after the father accused his son of stealing booze. The suspect’s mother attempted to break up the fight by repeatedly poking her son in the neck with a fork. The parents armed themselves with a baseball bat, then locked themselves in their bedroom for the night. The son was arrested the next morning after repeating death threats.

Fishing gear and boat equipment reported stolen from a houseboat at Charbonneau Park.

College Place

Leaf blower reportedly stolen from the 800 block of Southeast Date Avenue.


License plate reported stolen in the 400 block of Willard Street.


A concerned citizen reported finding Xbox games and other items scattered along Appleton Road near Weis Road.

A home on Country Road was burglarized; multiple items reported missing.

Garage remote reportedly stolen in the 900 block of Northeast Third Avenue.

A house sitter reported a burglary in the 200 block of Northwest Eighth Avenue.

Car vandalized in the 800 block of South Columbia Street.


WW Police

Carolyn J. Goertzen, 30, 1522 Freedom Place, College Place, Sunday. Charge: investigation of two felony violations of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act.

Lacey Hender, 26, 1022 W. Chestnut St., Tuesday. Charge: investigation of first-degree assault.

Bradley J. Branson, 3686 Lower Waitsburg Road, Sunday. Charge: investigation of felony harassment.
