It is Democrats who mislead

Friday’s U-B had two letters to the editor full of erroneous accusations. Everett Maroon and Beth Call did not do their homework before spouting off the Democratic line!

If you want to catch a Democrat in a lie, check the Internet and you will find them on a video where the story they are telling today can be disproved by their own words or on occasion the media will do their job and report some news accurately, rare as that is. President Obama is easy, if his lips are moving he is surely lying and the Democrats and low-information voters will believe.

If Maroon and Call had told the facts, the House and U.S. Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers passed legislation that funded all of the government except for Obamacare. The Senate and Majority Leader Harry Reid, along with Obama, blocked all of this. Call also states that Republicans are circumventing the law passed by Reid, Pelosi and Obama. Thank God, as it is a terrible law that has already been shown it will add trillions to the national debt.

The country is already floating in national debt that has been heaped on your kids, grandkids, etc., and their lives will be overshadowed by this monstrous debt.

And talking about circumventing the laws, Obama is the king at this game, with massive numbers of executive orders circumventing Congress. They need to go back and check how Congress and McMorris Rodgers approved legislation to fund FEMA (247 to 164 votes) because of the tropical storm Karen. They also funded 800,000 government employees to get them back pay for the lost time.

This covers lots of solidly Democratic voters. So, let me ask, who’s taking care of you? They also passed legislation to fund the military pay and signed by Obama. People should thank the Republicans and McMorris Rodgers.

Former President George W. Bush and the Republicans have been bashed by the Democrats with lies that have been told so many times the low-information voter and the Democratic voters believe them.

For example, Bush got us into the Iraq War, the financial collapse that Obama inherited, Bush destroyed the Clinton surpluses and the national debt is his fault. These are all fabrications that are easy to dispel, but not in 400 words. Look it up for yourself, if you really want to know and can handle the truth.

Stop drinking the Democrat’s Kool-Aid!

These Dems should either quit drinking the Kool-aid or stay out of the pot gardens. Makes them hallucinate.

The destruction of this country began in 2007 when the Pelosi and Reid duo were voted into the House and Senate leaderships. Big Mistake!

Democrats are thankful for Obamacare, because Republicans are making us sick! Another delusional commentary from a bottom-feeder!

Here's a good example of your sickness with some of your Democratic leaders out fishing for future party voters!

What's the matter Vino, did you lose your position of Obamacare Navigator due to the Website crash or was it that you just couldn't figure it out? But I see you improved your vocabulary with some real intellectual verbiage.

How awful that a civil rights leader from the 60's is arrested protesting for immigration reform, one of several current civil rights issues.

What I don't understand about self-styled conservatives is their utter lack of empathy for others coupled with their total rejection of the concept of equal opportunity for all.

What about renting barricades to keep vets out of the wwII memorial. I thought we didn't have any money. Keep out the vets but support ILLEGAL immigrants. Sounds great to me. Proud to be American!

NewinWW - I would take for granted that your comment is in jest of this letter but if not let me enlighten you. You should have read the link that I had posted instead of just the headline. Those supposed civil rights leaders are representative of the United States of America. They were out on the National Mall Choosing to be arrested standing with Illegals while the Mall is supposed to be CLOSED. If this is the representation that they want to show the world they should be thrown out of office. You should really look up the definition of civil rights and with the difference of associating with criminals.

You might also check out that WWII veterans have foundations that transport these veterans (some for the final tour) to be able to visit the WWII Memorial but was blockaded by Capitol Police on the authority of this Adminstration. This Memorial is normally open 24/7/365 a year unguarded for visitors but was barricaded because of total incompetency and ingnorance.

Here is the Secretary of State of the United States of America! Is it Hillary Rodham Clinton or John (the wind sailor) Kerry?

Kinda gives you a bad feeling for where this country is heading.

Reminds me of the absurd, inane comment by Harry Reid that "coal is making us sick." VinoTonto should read his/her own commentary to understand the true meaning of delusional. Keep up the good comments, NamVet60. You're right in the x-ring (bull's eye for non-shooters).

Well Vino - speaking of JOBS - how is yours being the major critic without adding any intelligent information? It's funny you have time to be on these opinion pages when you were so busy implementing Obamacare for all of these needy citizens on crashed websites. Maybe you just couldn't handle the job (or got terminated) and certainly didn't improve your vocabulary. The only thing nanny around here is your President trying to turn this country into a nanny state.

You liberals should really take notes on your fabrications so that you don't trip over your own tongue. Some time ago you expressed that you owned your own company and doing well? Now you state that you just got a promotion and a raise? Was this just another delirious post?

I'm not familiar with that website (I see you are) but I will find out my destiny when the time arrives.

Love the last paragraph. I hope a follow up letter is posted explaining how Bush didn't get us into the Iraq War, didn't hand off the financial collapse to Obama, didn't destroy the Clinton surpluses and didn't contribute (doubled actually) to the national debt.

After one year into a second term and Obama fans are still blaming Bush rather than the ones failing to fix anything - especially many of their own creations. Do you think that Bush wrote the ObamaCare computer program that isn't expected to function properly for some time?

Five years in the job and still noting to take credit for is something liberals should be proud of. That almost assures no jobs for them in the future.

Clinton was known for one kind of job and now Obama is known for "no jobs." Wonder what kind of job Hillary could claim if she were elected - "snow job?" Fortunately we will never know.

Wow... Look at the cost for the ObamaCare web site. It was budgeted for just under 94 million dollars... $94,000,000.00 ...
And if that number does not get you how about the actual costs of ..........$634,000,000.00 Wow... And from what all of the news agencies are saying it still is not working correctly... They had three years to get it working with the bugs worked out and yet it is still down.
And if you want to go into the site (if you can get into it) and just want to attempt to see what is in it or what it can do for you, you have to completely register on the sight BEFORE getting in. Once they have your info? guess what, you will never get to delete it, it will always be in there...
Here is some of the other fact...
To put this amount of money into perspective, here is another figure to compare it to... Facebook, which received its first investment in June 2004, operated for a full six years before surpassing the $600 million mark in 2010.

In 2007, Microsoft paid for a 1.6% share of Facebook for $240 million, indicating that the Facebook value was somewhere around $15.1 Billion. By your statement, we would have to believe that Facebook went from $600 million in 2010 to somewhere in the area of $15 Billion in 2012. Check your facts and figures.

Just google: "How Much Did the Obamacare Web site cost"
Several different total costs figures, But all pretty close to the same figures etc.
It took three years to build, and was originally supposed to cost $93,000,000.00 but it is a slight bit more... And it still has some glitches...

I cannot find the original site but here is one that gives basically the same info:
*“Given the complicated nature of federal contracts, it’s difficult to make a direct comparison between the cost to develop and the amount of money spent building private online businesses. But for the sake of putting the monstrous amount of money into perspective, here are a few figures to chew on: Facebook, which received its first investment in June 2004, operated for a full six years before surpassing the $500 million mark in June 2010. Twitter, created in 2006, managed to get by with only $360.17 million in total funding until a $400 million boost in 2011. Instagram ginned up justt $57.5 million in funding before Facebook bought it for (a staggering) $1 billion last year. And LinkedIn and Spotify, meanwhile, have only raised, respectively, $200 million and $288 million.”*
