A Vancouver, Wash., native has been chosen as the new communications and marketing manager for the Walla Walla Valley Wine Alliance.
Heather Bradshaw comes to Walla Walla most recently from Jackson Family Wines in Sonoma County, Calif. There she created and executed strategic communications and marketing plans designed to bring exposure and raise the brand profile through media coverage, events and relationship building.
“Heather brings a great deal of media and marketing experience to her new position, and I believe will be a great asset to both our organization and our Valley’s wine and hospitality industries,” said wine alliance Executive Director Duane Wollmuth in the announcement.
Bradshaw graduated in 2006 from the University of Washington with a journalism degree. After college she moved to Yakima for work at KIMA-TV as a producer and reporter. Three years later she moved to Seattle to work as an online content producer for KOMO-TV. Her interest in wine came during her time in the Yakima Valley as she tasted through wineries there. In 2011 she followed that interest to California, the announcement explained.
Back in her home state she continues to follow her passion for an ever growing wine industry.
“I believe Walla Walla produces some of the best wine in the world, and I couldn’t be more excited about the opportunity to raise awareness about the caliber of the Valley to consumers, media and trade,” she said in a prepared statement.
