Knights move into tie for second

COLLEGE PLACE — The Walla Walla Valley Academy volleyball team moved into a tie for second place in the Blue Mountain League with a win against Asotin Tuesday.

The Knights (6-5, 5-3) followed an opening set loss, 25-16, to win the next three, 25-23, 25-18, 25-22. Head coach Scott Schafer said WWVA did a great job of balancing its statistics throughout the roster.

“This was a great team win for us last night,” Schafer said. “(We) played well together as a team and pushed hard when down during the sets.”

Hannah Woolever came up with 13 kills and Amy Arnzen added 10. Arnzen also finished with a team-high 13 digs. Madison Wagner and Hope Heaton each racked up five blocks for the Knights.

Rylee Sutton dished out 18 assists to go along with 18-of-18 serving.

The Knights square off with Tri-Cities Prep Thursday.
