Errors hurt Blue Devils against Braves

KENNEWICK — Wa-Hi struggled here Thursday night as Kamiakin dominated 25-15, 25-13, 25-19 in a Mid-Columbia Conference volleyball match.

“Unforced errors, missed serves and lack of hustle were the story of this game,” Blue Devils coach Don Hepker said. “We finally started to play after we were down in the third set, and we actually looked pretty good once we decided to play.”

Wa-Hi’s record dipped to 3-9 in league play and 4-11 overall. Blue Devils statistical leaders were not submitted.

Wa-Hi returns to action Monday when it entertains Kennwick.

“This will be senior night, so I hope it will give us a little more energy,” Hepker said. “We’ve already defeated Kennewick this year, so I also hope that gives us a bit of confidence.”
