Walla Walla

Police apprehended a women, 24, after a short chase that ended in Pioneer Park Thursday just before 6 p.m. According to police, an officer was investigating possible speeding in an alley near the 300 block of South Wilbur Street when he saw Denali Francis Knutson drop off a passenger and then speed off. A pursuit started west down the alley, south on Sinclair Street, west on Ruth Street and ended with Knutson driving into Pioneer Park for a short distance before he was apprehended.

A resident of the 2000 block of Sunset Drive reported a tire slashed Wednesday overnight.

A boy, 14, was reported to have taken an air-soft pistol to Pioneer Middle School on Wednesday and at one point showed it to fellow students while he wore it tucked into his waist. Officials reported finding the pistol after school in the boys’ bathroom. According to police, it was the second incident for the boy, who now faces expulsion.

A bicycle was reported stolen today 2:45 a.m. from the 400 block of E. Oak Street.

A resident of the 900 block of Emma Street reported a loose dog had gotten into his yard and killed five chickens.


Graffiti cases were reported Thursday at NE Third Avenue and N. Main Street, at the 100 block of E. Broadway and the 100 block of N. Main Street.

A purse was reported stolen Thursday from the 100 block of SW First Avenue. It was later recovered, but cash and several items were missing.

Chad Lester Clifton, 31, address unknown. Charge: investigation of felony possession of controlled substance.
