Donaldson praised for work to demolish house

I understand there is some positive news regarding the 712 Whitman property. I appreciate Shane Laib for taking the time out of his busy schedule to actually respond, let me know about the Council meeting agenda, and finally the outcome of the meeting in reference to this situation.

I have no doubt City Attorney Tim Donaldson is the one responsible for this great news. Much like the Blue Mountain Mall situation, without Mr. Donaldson and his outstanding legal staff, nothing would have ever happened in reference to this location.

As I have done before, I will always toot your horn for you because you never do it for yourself. That is just the type of person you are. You are a lifelong resident of Walla Walla and truly care about the well-being of this great city much the same as I do. I specifically salute you, your outstanding staff (Preston Frederickson, Ann McCambridge, Jodi Stevens), the great Walla Walla Police Department, City Council, Nabiel Shawa, and any other member of city staff whom I may not have mention or be aware of who helped getting this decision regarding this property.

I would take you in the courtroom by my side any day and would put you up against any other attorney in the USA and have no doubt you would win the case or at least die trying. Keep up the great work and continue to strive to keep Walla Walla a great place to live, work, and raise a family my friend.

Let me know when we have the block party and barbecue/bonfire when the demolish of the house happens. It will be a huge celebration for the neighborhood, which can finally rest easy and put closure to this issue that has haunted many for way too long.

I couldn't agree more -- our city attorney is among the finest, and we are a lucky community indeed.
