A Walla Walla rental company is laying the foundation for those interested in common rental issues.
Blue Mountain Rentals, owned by Lori Hartjoy, will host a series of free one-hour workshops on landlord and renter topics.
“There are limited resources out there in which to find answers and this opportunity helps landlords and renters to better make sound, solid rental connections,” Hartjoy said in the announcement.
The first will take place Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. at Smith’s Family Restaurant, 1425 W. Pine St. Open to the public, the meetings will be limited to 30 people. Reservations are required.
Topics of discussion will include background checks, renter criteria, planning a budget, curb appeal and interview preparations.
Hartjoy has worked in rental housing for 20 years, handling everything from tenant screening services to property management. She established her Blue Mountain Rentals in 2011. Her services include a database designed to provide renters a resource to find housing.
