WESTON-MCEWEN — Weston-McEwen used crisp passing and solid serving to net a straight-set win against Enterprise Thursday, 25-12, 25-9, 25-12.
The TigerScots passed the ball at a 94 percent clip, head coach Shawn White said.
“Our passers and our defense kept the ball in play so we did control the match all night,” White said. “We were able to run our offense. It was great. It was a lot of fun.”
Natalie Arnold did a little bit of everything for Weston-McEwen, as she went 19-of-20 serving with seven aces and added nine digs. Danni Dearing also had success at the service line, finishing 16-of-17 with three aces.
White said the pair’s serving ability was a big reason the TigerScots cruised to an easy win.
“Natalie had a great night,” White said. “She and Danni have just been putting up great numbers serving all season. Natalie just continues to improve and get better and better.”
Molly von Borstel put down 17 kills and Taryn Coffman also dished out 28 assists for Weston-McEwen.
The TigerScots head to Pilot Rock Saturday for matches with Heppner and Pilot Rock.
