PENDLETON — The Walla Walla High School baseball team battled back from an early 4-0 deficit, to win 10-4 at Pendleton Friday.
Wa-Hi was down 4-0 through four innings before exploding for nine runs in the top of the fifth.
Reid Magnaghi smacked a two-run double and Ryan Kimball hammered a three-run home run in the rally.
Pitcher Zach Zehner got the win for the Blue Devils, as he struck out seven over four innings and walked none.
“Reid Magnaghi continues his hot hitting with three RBIs on the night,” Wa-Hi coach Keith Gradwohl said. “Zach Zehner dominated the Buckaroos for the final four innings, striking out the first four batters he faced. Coach Parsons and I are quite pleased with our early season play.”
Wa-Hi (4-0) will go to Lewiston Monday for their last non-league double header.
