PILOT ROCK — The Weston-McEwen girls basketball team’s fourth quarter rally fell short against Pilot Rock on Tuesday.

The TigerScots, who entered the final frame down 49-33, outscored the Rockets 27-19 in the fourth. Their comeback bid fell short however, as Pilot Rock scored a 68-60 win.

“We jumped out quick then cooled off,” Weston-McEwen coach Amber Doremus said. “The second quarter was the difference. We played disjointed and Pilot Rock took advantage.”

Molly von Borstel led Weston-McEwen with 22 points on 8-of-14 shooting.

The TigerScots return to action against Irrigon today.
