Grandmothers’ Roundtable to explore tax-exemption issues


WALLA WALLA — The Grandmothers’ Roundtable will present a forum entitled “Are Tax Breaks Breaking Us?” at 7 p.m. Monday at Walla Walla Community College Room 185, 500 Tausick Way. It is free and open to the public.

Pat Reay, College Place city administrator; Nabiel Shawa, Walla Walla city manager; and Debra Antes, Walla Walla County assessor, will examine the various tax exemptions that exist in their taxing districts and the effect these have on revenue collection.

A question-and-answer session will take place following the presentations.
