Foodies: Get your forks ready.
Organizers of Feast Walla Walla are tantalizing tastebuds with plans for this year’s seventh annual event.
Thirteen eateries, 33 wineries and two breweries are making up the menus for this year’s Feast, the annual foodie celebration that takes place under a giant tent along downtown’s First Avenue.
Feast, coordinated by the Downtown Walla Walla Foundation with Bella Fortuna and designed to highlight the talents of area chefs and winemakers, takes place April 12, 1-4 p.m. between Main and Alder streets.
The food festival kicks off April 11 with a Downtown Wine Reception at 6 p.m., followed by Chefs’ Table on First at 7.
Celebrity chef and author Maneet Chauhaun will join local chefs Antonio Campolio, Dan Theissen, Michael Kline and Jerry Meza preparing an six-course dinner with wine pairings. The limited seating dinner runs $125.
For the next day’s Feast, participants pay $50 and get 12 tokens, a souvenir plate and wine glass. The tokens can be exchanged for samples from the food vendors and wineries serving at the event. Wines can also be purchased at discounted rates for half and full cases.
