Let us hope you go after a candidate with a D after her/his name as you have done with the candidates with an R in future editorials.
You cannot deny that a whole lot of interest in this forum (I refuse to call it a debate) was generated and many more people have some kind of an idea what these people stand for despite the brevity of time each had to make their case.

Government spending did drop precipitously after WWII according to your chart which reinforces the link I provided above. And I think the Texas educational system is doing just fine despite your limited opinion.

I do a fair amount of reading mostly on line and nowhere have I read that conservatives are proposing a balanced budget amendment…at this time. Our country would be able to afford all kinds of things if the government would get out of the way.
And that means repealing Obamacare and replacing that monstrosity with catastrophic insurance for all and varying degrees of Health Savings Accounts for the various stages of life.Pre-existing condition health problems could be addressed in the form of a pool of funds around 5 billion dollars annually that people who suffer could draw from. But NO ONE should expect that insurance should pay for all health concerns.
The second point I'd like to make regarding balanced budgets is this: The only thing that got us out of the Depression of the nineteen thirties is that the government stopped spending money! It was not WWII.
Balanced budgets? I agree - they will never happen but better and lower spending will bring relief to all tax payers.

Dr VanAusdle has done a heck of a job keeping the level of education of this facility at the highest caliber across this nation. He may not be a touchy, feely sort of fellow but that's not what is needed as a large operation facility as this one is.Vocational training is needed now more than ever. And these disgruntled faculty member can always go out in the 'real world' and get a 'real job'. Nothing is stopping them from becoming entrepeneurs that's for sure.

Andy Porter tracked the veracity of Congresswoman McMorris's comments but didn't for her opponent on the Farm Bill. Nice objective reporting there Andy.

Can anyone imagine the outrage coming from the UB against actual on-line tweets documented in this link:http://www.infowars.com/threats-to-as...The Editorial Board sure came forward with outrage against the Tea Party after April '09 excoriating the group for the 'supposed' anger.Let us see if there is equal treatment for these liberal whack jobs.

Using the term liar all the time does not encourage reasonable discourse.

Anton *LaVey* did not write the "Satanic Manifesto" google says plus on his deathbed he renounced all he had done in the name of Satan.
Ayn Rand was an atheist but did not worship Satan. She did not celebrate the wealthy of the world but instead celebrated man/woman's accomplishments, i.e. hard work.
What does this say about the UB's vetting of letters to the editor I wonder.
